Czech U23s continue momentum with big win over United Nations

The Czech U23 team dominated their second game of the World Junior Championship against the United Nations. The international team was not good enough in all aspects of the game from the start against the stronger Czech team. Coaches´ Quotes

Gabi Missakian (UNA): „This was our third of the tournament. Of course, we’re playing the top nations in the world and guys are getting adjusted. They are tired, they have fatigue; however, as Canada was, for the most part, a classy organization, it’s a little different with Europeans, as the Czechs and Slovaks play a different style of hockey. However, our guys are courageous enough to compete, to continue and to build."

Jiří Mašík (CZE): „Today's game was one we wanted to win while also saving our energy. It was our second match of the day, and we also wanted to avoid injuries — which we managed to do. It's true that there were a few hits that weren't exactly fair. A game with a score of 18–0 is hard to evaluate. The boys were mainly tasked with trying out different things, like shooting from distance. We have to put it behind us because another battle awaits us tomorrow."
