Coaches´ Quotes

Róbert Alföldy (SVK): “The game was very demanding. I think both teams did a great job; it was even for a long time. We managed to score in every period. The important thing was that we withstood the pressure of the Czech team at the beginning of the second period, and then we managed to score a goal. When they put all their energy into offence in the third period, we managed to score from quick counterattacks. It was a very good game from both teams, and also for the fans. I think the victory is deserved, the boys worked hard and it belongs to them.”

Martin Hlavsa (CZW): “I don't think it was a bad game on our part. We kept up with the Slovaks, but unfortunately, we weren't able to score. We were lacking in the finishing department, which is an area where the Slovaks outperformed us.”
