Marián Hambálek (SVK): "It was a typical match between sixteen-year-old girls who are basically just starting out, and this is their first international test. You could also see that we are not yet fully coordinated as a team, but individually, the girls played well according to their abilities, and we are satisfied with the match. We thank the opponent, it was a very fair game and in this age category, a truly necessary match for us."

Ctibor Coufal (CZE): "In the first period, the Slovak girls came at us hard, they were clearly better and faster in terms of movement. From the second period on, we improved both in movement and in our combinations, we equalized, and even outplayed the Slovaks. That’s how we wanted to continue in the final period, but it didn’t go quite as planned, and due to minor defensive mistakes, we conceded two goals. We lost 1–3, but the performance wasn’t bad. We’ll try to build on it in the afternoon to get a better result."
