Coaches´ Quotes

Jakub Kotek (CZE): “We were definitely the better team in the game, but we let the Slovaks back into it unnecessarily with our penalties in the second period, where we had three penalties. That's where we let them back into the game. But otherwise, we played excellently in defense, the goalie kept us in it, and I think we deserved to win.”

Adam Krivda (SVK): "It's always difficult to evaluate right after the game, and I don't want to be critical of the guys, but we couldn't keep up physically or speed-wise. It's a lesson for us, and at least the guys can see where other teams are and where world-class ball hockey is. We had a lot of power plays, but we didn't capitalize on any of them, even though we practiced them yesterday. We're not doing well, but I believe we'll break through in the second game and score some goals."
